Below you will find a list of Team pixl-latr approved 3rd party designed gates. All the gates below have either been tested by Team pixl-latr, or are provided by trusted members of our user community.

If you would like to print them yourself, please feel free to follow the relevant link to Thingiverse. Alternatively, you can buy them directly from us here, or if you would like to support the designer, you can buy one from them by following the links below*.

The Forster Slide Insert

Designed by Simon Forster, the Forster Slide Insert is a gate designed to sit a slide in the centre of pixl-latr.

It masks all extraneous light allowing you to successfully copy slides using pixl-latr.

The Forster 6×6 Medium Format Slide Insert

Designed by Simon Forster, the Forster Slide Insert is a gate designed to sit a 6×6 medium format slide in the centre of pixl-latr.

It masks all extraneous light allowing you to successfully copy medium format slides using pixl-latr.

The Forster Sprocket Scanning Gates

Designed by Simon Forster, the Forster Sprocket Scanning Gates fit into pixl-latr in the same way as the stock gates.

The gates and masks allow a length of 35mm film including the sprocket holes to be camera scanned. The masks slide along a grove in the two gates to keep them perpendicular to the horizontal gates and to enable use when the pixl-latr is used at an angle as well as on a flat lightbox.

The gates are designed to be used with the 120-T gate in position (sold with the pixl-latr).

The Forster 4.25 x 3.25 Inch Glass Plate Insert

Designed by Simon Forster, this insert is for camera scanning 4.25 x 3.25-inch glass plates using pixl-latr

The insert is designed to be used without any of the stock gates inserted.

The Forster 3.25 inch Square Glass Plate insert

Designed by Simon Forster, this insert is for camera scanning square 3.25-inch glass plates with pixl-latr

The insert is designed to be used without any of the stock gates inserted.

The Forster 127 insert

Designed by Simon Forster, this insert is for camera scanning 127 negatives with pixl-latr

The insert is designed to be used with the 120T gate inserted at the top of pixl-latr’s frame.
